My dear Friends in Christ,
Greetings to you in the name of Jesus Christ, our Saviour!
Church
As this Pastoral letter reaches you, we, as a worshipping community, find ourselves in the season of Lent. This is a time for self-reflection, contemplation, and preparation for the meaningful celebration of the Joy of Easter. During this Lenten season, we, as a congregation, are focusing on the question: Where Am I? To assist us in this exercise, our Lenten reflections will approach the question from different perspectives—Where am I in Christ? Where am I in my prayer life? Where am I in my worship? Where am I in the life of the Church?
These reflections will be led by a few friends I have invited to guide us in this journey: Bro. Prasad Perera, Rev. Devsiri Peiris, Rev. Ramesh Schafter, and Viranga Wickremaratne. They will be joined by our own Heshan Rodrigo as we explore the various ways through which we can better understand our calling to be the people of God who are part of this worshipping community.
Therefore, I encourage you to make time for yourself in this season, as your spiritual wellbeing is important.
Nation
There is much happening within our nation, as we can all observe. It is heartening to see the implementation of accountability in various processes. However, every effort must be made to ensure that these processes are depoliticized and free from external influence.
At the same time, it is extremely alarming to witness the ongoing violence and crime being committed with such impunity. The recent incidents, including the shocking events inside the Courts, serve as a stark reminder of how much needs to be done. Law enforcement agencies must act impartially and swiftly to combat these grave issues.
Parish Clergy
Since my last Pastoral letter, we have bid farewell to Rev. Thilak Jayawardena and have welcomed Rev. Srisara Mohotti and his family into our midst. We pray that they will settle in well and be blessed as they serve alongside us.
Parish Records
I would like to take this opportunity to make an extra effort to ensure that your family details in our records are updated and accurate. It is vital that we have up-to-date information to stay connected and to offer pastoral care more effectively.
Electoral Roll 2025-2026
The Electoral Roll for 2025/2026 has now been published. Please take a moment to check your name and details, and notify the office if any corrections are needed.
Church Building
We have now entered the final stage of the refurbishment of the Church building, with the primary focus being the painting of the Church. However, in order to ensure the work is completed properly, we must also address some critical issues with the walls, as this is an old building that requires special care.
Vicarage
The refurbishment of the Vicarage is nearing completion. Every effort has been made to ensure that the work done will stand the test of time and provide a comfortable living space for the clergy in the years ahead.
Pastoral Care
I face a few challenges while undertaking pastoral visits due to the absence of proper, up-to-date family details. I urge those of you who wish to receive a visit from the clergy to ensure that your family details are updated. This helps us better serve you and offer the care and support you need.
Personal
On a personal note, we hope to move into the Vicarage soon, hopefully by Easter. Please keep us in your prayers as we transition into this new chapter.
May this season of Lent be a time of deep reflection, renewal, and spiritual growth as we prepare ourselves to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord.

ක්රිස්තුස්වහන්සේ තුළ මාගේ මිත්රවරුනි,
අපගේ ගැළවුම්කරුවාණන් වන යේසුස් ක්රිස්තුස්වහන්සේගේ නාමයෙන් ඔබට සුබ පැතුම්!
සභාව
මේ දේවගැති ලිපිය ඔබ වෙත ළඟා වන විට, නමස්කාර කරන ප්රජාවක් ලෙස අපි චතාරික කාලයේදී අපි ගැන සිතමු. මෙය ස්වයං ආවර්ජනයකි. මෙනෙහි කිරීම සහ පාස්කු ඉරිදා ප්රීතිය අර්ථවත් කිරීම සඳහා ස්වයං ආවර්ජනය, මෙනෙහි කිරීම සහ සූදානම් වීම සඳහා වූ කාලයකි. මෙම උපවාස සමයේදී, සභාවක් වශයෙන් අපගේ ප්රශ්ණ කෙරෙහි අවධානය යොමු කරමු. මම කොහෙද? මෙම අභ්යාසය සඳහා අපට සහාය වීම සඳහා, උපවාස සමයේ ආවර්ජනය විවිධ දෘෂ්ටි කෝණයෙන් ප්රශ්ණයට එළඹෙනු ඇත. මාගේ යාච්ඤා ජීවිතයේ මා කොහෙද? මගේ නමස්කාරයේදී මම කොහෙද? සභා ජීවිතයේ මම කොහෙද?
මෙම ගමනේදී අපට මග පෙන්වීම සඳහා මම ආරාධනා කර ඇති මිතුරන් කිහිප දෙනෙකු මෙම ආවර්ජනය මෙහෙයවනු ලැබේ. ප්රසාද් පෙරේරා සහෝදරතුමා, ගෞරවණීය දෙව්සිරි පීරිස් පියතුමා, ගෞරවණීය රමේෂ් ෂාෆ්ටර් පියතුමා සහ විරංග වික්රමරත්න මහතාය. මෙම වන්දනාමාන ප්රජාවේ කොටසක් වන දෙවියන්වහන්සේගේ ජනතාව ලෙස අපගේ කැඳවීම වඩාත් හොඳින් වටහා ගත හැකි ආකාරයටම අපගේ හේෂාන් රුද්රිගු මහතා සමඟ ඔවුන් එක්වනු ඇත.
එමනිසා, ඔබේ අධ්යාත්මික යහපැවැත්ම වැදගත් බැවින් මේ චතාරික සමයේදී ඔබගේ කාලය ඔබ විසින් වෙන් කිරීම පිණිස මම ඔබව දිරිමත් කරමි.
ජාතිය
අප සැමට නිරීක්ෂණය කළ හැකි පරිදි අපගේ ජාතිය තුළ බොහෝ දේ සිදුවී තිබේ. විවිධ ක්රියාවලින් වගවීම ක්රියාත්මක කිරීම දැකීම සතුටට කරුණකි. කෙසේ වෙතත්, මෙම ක්රියාදාමයන්ට අක්රමිකතා හා බාහිර බලපෑම්වලින් තොර බව සහතික කිරීම සඳහා සෑම උත්සාහයක්ම ගත යුතුය.
ඒ අතරම, අඛණ්ඩව සිදුවන ප්රචණ්ඩත්වය හා අපරාධ සාක්ෂි දැරීම අතිශයින්ම තැති ගැන්වීමකි. උසාවි තුළ ඇති කම්පන සහගත සිදුවීම් ඇතුළුව මෑත සිදුවීම්, කොපමණ ප්රමාණයක්ද යන්න පිළිබඳ පැහැදිලි මතක් කිරීමක් ලෙස ක්රියා කරයි. මෙම බරපතල ගැටළු වලට එරෙහිව සටන් කිරීම සඳහා නීතිය බලාත්මක කිරීමේ ආයතන අපක්ෂපාතීව හා වේගයෙන් ක්රියා කළ යුතුය.
දේවස්ථානයේ පූජකවරුන්:- මාගේ දේවගැති ලිපියේ අවසාන කොටස වන්නේ, ගෞරවණීය තිලක් ජයවර්ධන පියතුමා මෙම දේවස්ථානයෙන් සමුගත් අතර, ගෞරවණීය ශ්රීසාර මොහොට්ටි පියතුමා සහ පවුලේ අය අප අතරට පිළිගනිමු. ඔවුන් අප සමඟ සේවය කරන අතර, සියලුදෙනා හට ආශීර්වාද ඉල්ලා අපි යාච්ඤා කරමු.
පලාතේ වාර්තා
ඔබේ පවුලේ විස්තර අපගේ වාර්තාවල සඳහන් කර ඇති බවත්, නිවැරදි බව සහතික කිරීම සඳහා අමතර උත්සාහයක් දැරීමට පිණිස මෙම අවස්ථාව ප්රයෝජනයට ගැනීමට කැමැත්තෙමි. ඔබ හා සම්බන්ධව සිටීමට සහ දේවගැතිවරුන්ගේ සත්කාර සේවාවන් වඩාත් ඵලදායී ලෙස ලබා දීමට යාවත්කාලීන තොරතුරු අප සතුව තිබීම අත්යවශ්යවේ.
2025-2026 ඡන්ද හිමි නාමලේඛනය
2025/2026 සඳහා ඡන්ද හිමි නාමලේඛනය මේ වන විට ප්රකාශයට පත් කර ඇත. කරුණාකර ඔබේ නම සහ විස්තර පරීක්ෂා කිරීමට මොහොතක් ගත කරන්න. ඕනෑම නිවැරදි කිරීමක් අවශ්ය නම් කාර්යාලයට දැනුම් දෙන්න.
දේවස්ථාන ගොඩනැගිල්ල
දේවස්ථානයට මූලික අවධානය යොමු කරමින් දේවස්ථාන ගොඩනැගිල්ල අලුත්වැඩියා කිරීමේ අවසන් අධියර සඳහා අපි දැන් ඇතුළත්වී සිටමු. කෙසේ වෙතත්, වැඩ නිසි ලෙස නිම කිරීම සහතික කිරීම සඳහා තීරණාත්මක කාරණා ගැනද අප සැලකිලිමත් විය යුතුය, මන්ද මෙය පැරණි ගොඩනැගිල්ලකි.
දේවගැති නිවස
පළාත භාර පියතුමාගේ නිවස අලුත්වැඩියා කිරීම අවසන් වෙමින් පවතී. සිදු කරනු ලබන සෑම අලුත්වැඩියාවක්ම නිසි අයුරින් සිදු කරන ලද අතර, එම කාර්යයන් පිළිබඳව පරීක්ෂා කරමින් යථා තත්වයෙන් සැමවිටම පත්වා ගැනීමට උත්සාහ දරමින්, ඉදිරි වසරවලදී පැමිණෙන පූජකවරුන් සඳහා සුව පහසුව විසීමේ අවකාශයක් ලබා දීම සඳහා ප්රයත්න දරනු ලැබේ.
එඩේර සේවය
පවුල් විස්තර නිසි අයුරින් යවත්කාලීනවී නොමැති බැවින් දේවගැතිවරුන්ගේ පැමිණීම සිදුකරන අතරතුර මම අභියෝග කිහිපයකට මුහුණ දෙමි. ඔබේ නිවසට පූජකවරුන්ගේ පැමිණීමක් ලබා ගැනීමට කැමති අයගෙන් මම ඉල්ලා සිටින්නේ ඔබේ පවුලේ විස්තර යාවත්කාලීන වන බව සහතික කිරීමෙන්, ඔබට වඩා හොඳින් සේවය කිරීමට සහ ඔබට අවශ්ය රැකවරණය හා සහයෝගය ලබා දීමට උපකාරීවේ.
පුද්ගලික
පුද්ගලික සටහන, වැඩි කල් නොගොස් ඉක්මනින් පාස්කු වන විට දේවගැති නිවසට පැමිණීමට අපි බලාපොරොත්තු වෙමු. අපි මෙම නව පරිච්ඡේදයට සංක්රමණය වන විට කරුණාකර අපව ඔබේ යාච්ඤා වෙන් ඔසවා තබන්න.
අපගේ ස්වාමීන්වහන්සේගේ උත්ථානය සැමරීමට අප සූදානම් වන විට කල්තියාම ගැඹුරු අවර්ජණය අලුත් කිරීමේ හා අධ්යාත්මික වර්ධනයක් ඇති කිරීමේ කාලයක් විය හැකිය.
